SGB is back on track at Silverstone after regaining the contract to supply protection barriers, fencing and temporary accommodation at the venue during the 2009 Formula 1 Santander British Grand Prix.
1000 protection barriers and 360 fence panels were installed by the specialist events team, while 48 SGB Rovacabin’s were installed for use by the Grand Prix operatives throughout the circuit. The 8ft x 8ft and 32ft x 10ft temporary accommodation units provided numerous facilities including sales suites, reception areas, security bases, campsite control and marshall training rooms. The fully glazed sales suite units, located at the main reception, were also used to house Silverstone TV.
Alex Lacey, Head of Events at Silverstone, comments: “We last worked with SGB on the British Grand Prix back in 2005 and we are pleased to have them back on board again.
